Our Trip

For the past 10 days we were in North Idaho! We went up there because Chris' brother Keith came home from his mission for our church in Chile.
Keith flew home on the 10th, so we left home that morning in time to meet him at the airport. Aaron was really excited to see him and gave him a big hug.

Sophia didn't want to have anything to do with him. She was only 10 months old when he left. Finally, I just handed her over to him and she did not want to look at him! She looked like she was going to cry, but she didn't. Keith finally won her over when he got out some candy! :) That is the best way to get Sophia to come to/like you. She LOVES her candy. After that, she liked Keith the rest of the trip and she knew who to go to when she wanted candy. She would say "where's mine Keif? I need some candy."

The kids had fun playing at Grandma & Grandpa house. Grandma Wendy had several projects for Aaron to work on, which he loved! Sophia had fun playing outside, watching movies and getting candy! When we were there, she would always tell us she wanted to go home when she was tired or  grouchy, but when it came time to leave she said that she didn't want to go home, she wanted to go back to "gampa's" house.
Eli had a blast exploring the Cockrell's house. He was one busy boy going from one thing to the next the whole time we were there. He loved trying to go up the stairs and always wanted to see the bear head, pig head and fish Grandpa Ron has mounted on his wall. He wanted to see them, but he didn't like getting too close to them. Eli also like getting into the pantry. We had to move some of the food up off the floor so he wouldn't get it.

We spent a couple of days out on the lake with Chris' family. Chris did some wake boarding and tried skiing one day. The kids loved the boat for the most part. Both times when we went out, Sophia fell asleep. Aaron was the flag boy most of the time and Eli liked watching people behind the boat. Eli loved the water! At one point Chris was in the water by a dock and we just let Eli run off the dock into the water(with a life jacket on) by Chris. He thought that was great! He was pretty sad when he couldn't do that any more.

Aaron got brave one day and tried the knee board. He did pretty good(what you can't see though in the picture is Chris holding onto the knee board in back keeping him from falling over, this was the only way Aaron would try it).

We also spent some time at my parents house. The kids loved playing with all their different kind of toys and takings hikes through the woods with Grandpa Wilde. Aaron stayed the night there one night with one of his cousins and had a great time. We also saw one of my brother's family and spent some time with them.
It was was a fun trip, but we are glad to be home. Now we need to get back in the swing of things and getting Aaron ready for his first day of Kindergarten on Wednesday!
