FIRE!

Saturday we burned our irrigation ditch to clean it out of all the dead leaves and branches that the previous owners never cleaned out. Our neighbor right next to us (who is LDS) was burning his ditch and helped us with ours since we were left with a big mess. So he brought over his propane tank looking thing and lit everything on fire and Chris watched to make sure it didn't get out of control. Aaron had a great time watching all the fire! At one point he found a snake who was trying to get away from the fire, so Chris caught him and put him in a box and Aaron loved watching him slither around the box. He tried tipping the box over several times to let the snake out, but wasn't able to accomplish his goal. But later that day we figured the snake escaped on its own because it wasn't in the box when we looked later!

The snake is on the right hand of the box, but you really can't see it.

Aaron is getting so big. We need to plan another family vacation this summer to Idaho. Hopefully plans can work out. I know Joyce wants to go up. My kids love going to Aunt Wendy's and Uncle Ron's plus we would love to see your guys new house. Its a long drive from California but well worth it.

YUCK!!! I'm not a snake fan, but I guess that is what I get for growing up in Texas. What's it like having a yard?? :)

It is nice having a yard. Aaron runs around a lot and likes to explore. The yard will be a lot nicer once we get the junk moved out that the previous owners left. Aaron quite often finds things that he thinks are interesting in their junk!

What a job! Thank goodness for good neighbors and how lucky they are LDS too! Aaron is a total boy...into snakes and things. He's getting so big!
