4th of July

Our 4th of July holiday was very laid back and relaxing. That morning we went to a neighborhood breakfast. It was fun to meet some new people and the kids had fun running around with other kids from the neighborhood.
Late afternoon, we went to a neighbor's house to go swimming and have a BBQ. The kids loved swimming. They were in the water about 4 hours, minus the time it took them to eat their dinner.

After swimming and dinner we went home and changed and then went to a friend's house to light off some fireworks in the streets. We were there for almost 2 hours watching the fireworks. Some of them went  a little crazy. I even got hit by one once. Aaron and Sophia loved watching them. Eli, not so much. This is about how he looked the whole time:

It never made him cry, he just didn't like the loud noise!
