Our Trip to Grandma & Grandpa's

This past week, the kids and I drove up to Hayden to visit Grandma & Grandpa Cockrell. The first 2 hours of the trip up there were not very fun. I almost turned around went home. The rest of the ride up was very nice with little arguing and whining. 

One of the first things Sophia wanted to do when we got to Grandma & Grandpa's house was to take a bath in Grandma's big tub. She also wanted to know where her cousin Kyndal was because the last time we were there she was there too!
Some of the activities the kids did with the grandparents include: going shopping at the dollar store, going to a movie, playing the wii, seeing a moose in the yard multiple times, cleaning the house, playing in the sandbox, driving the lawn mower with grandpa, hiking Tubbs Hill and going for Gooey's at the Coeur d' Alene Resort.
One day, Aaron went with Grandpa and one of his friends fishing at McNary Dam which is almost half way to Boise! It was Aaron's first big fishing trip and he had lots of fun. He didn't like that he didn't have his own fishing pole though.
We were also able to spend some time with 2 of my brothers and their families. Sophia had fun playing with her girl cousins and had her first sleep over with them! She loved it and didn't want to leave!
The last couple of days we were there, one of Chris' cousins came to visit and Aaron and Sophia had fun playing with their girls Trinity and Faith.
The ride home went well. The kids were pretty good. Owen wasn't happy the last hour of the drive, but I was very happy with how the driving went all by myself with the kids. We will probably do it again in a month!
