The little things

Tonight I enjoyed about 15 minutes where each child was doing their own little thing. They were happy and having fun. There was no fighting, yelling, screaming, hitting, etc. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy watching my kids play without feeling like a referee.
I am glad that I was able to have this little moment. Lately there hasn't been very many of these moments at night. I like to be able to enjoy my kids instead of counting down the minutes till bedtime.
I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to be able to raise these wonderful little spirits. It seems that these peaceful moments come when I need them the most to help remind me that it is all worth it.
